Dr.Arif YILDIRIM is an Assistant Professor, working at Department of Journalism, Çanakkale 18 Mart University, Turkey, was also worked as Head of the Department of Cinema-TV at Namik Kemal University and Head of the Department of Communication Informatics and Journalism, Gaziantep University, Turkey, holding a PhD in Informatics with the thesis subject as "Data Security Approach in Information Technology and Cryptography: DNA Algorithm". Dr.Arif Yildirim established a faculty, two undergraduate departments, one graduate department. Additionally worked as Vice Director of Institute of Social Sciences and the editor-in-chief of Journal of Social Sciences in Gaziantep University. Also working as founder Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Cyber Security, Privacy and eCrime (www.jcspe.org) and now newly Journal of Media Critiques (mediacritiques.net). Dr.Yildirim teaches "Neurohacking with Social Media", "Social Media Journalism and Hacktivism", "Activism, Digital Activism and Hacktivism" and "Community Media and ICTs for Development and Social Transformation" classes in both undergraduate and graduate level. Dr.Yildirim's research focuses on social media, cryptography with genetics, neurohacking with social media, marketing, activism, digital activism, hacktivism, civil disobedience, privacy, P2P, online behavior and identity, and also how the development and use of social media is being aected by politicians and people trying to gain control of the government and people both globally and in MENA and Balkans.

Thesis Subject : Data Security Approach in Information Technology and Cryptography: DNA Algorithm.
Abstract : Security has always been a substantial problem for humankind throughout the history and at the same time it has also been a basic need. Defense and attack strategies have formed security policies which are underlying the war. The term of war has evolved over the ages and nally the concept of asymmetric warfare has emerged. Furthermore, developing communication utilities and spreading information technologies bring the information warfare to the agenda. In parallel with the development of defense strategies and as a result of human curiosity for the protected things, new attack strategies have been developed. Similarly, for the purposes of defense throughout history, encryption algorithms has been used for all communication channels. DNA algorithm and human reproduction logic as an encryption algorithm has been suggested for today’s fastest communication channels, the networks and the internet. Based on the simplest model of Communication, Shannon-Weaver Communication Model, the human reproduction logic designed as an algorithm for information systems.

Thesis Subject : Knowledge Management in Organizations in Transition to Learning Organization: The case of Dumlupınar University Distance Learning Project.
Abstract : The level of technology that human being has been able to achieve so far is continuing to speed up also in the eld of education. Advanced technology has given a distinctive dimension as well as a new perception to the concept of traditional education existed until now. This new conception caused governments to develop dierent methods in order to provide educational, cultural and social improvement of the individual and to create human potential required for a knowledge-based community. As a product of technology, the internet and the internet-based distant education, carried out by the internet have been started to apply to the education system of Turkey and the rest of the world as well, in dierent ways and by using dierent models. While reaching a wide mass of students, the internet-based education, at the same time, provides the possibility of addressing a wide mass both in the national and international level. This system of education will improve the collective problem-solving skills of people from dierent languages, religions and races; as well as, their ability of having a thought in all subjects and of free thinking.
